Profilms bonds to almost any smooth, clean, stable surface — laminate, melamine, MDF, timber, metal, painted plaster, glass and many plastics. Common applications include kitchen cabinetry, bathroom vanities, wardrobes, doors, feature walls, reception desks, benchtops, lift interiors, hotel furniture and shopfronts.

Yes — Profilms film can be stretched and conformed around curved edges and rounded forms, like the curved edge of a table or benchtop, rounded reception desks, columns and bullnose profiles, wrapping cleanly without lifting.

What it can’t do is conform into grooved or profiled detail. Routed or profiled doors — Shaker styles, V-grooves, recessed panels — aren’t suitable, because the film can’t be pressed fully into those sharp internal grooves. Flat panels and smooth curves are where it performs best.

Yes. Profilms is moisture-resistant and routinely used on bathroom vanities, splashbacks and around sinks. As with any surface finish, edges should be properly sealed during installation to prevent moisture ingress over time — which is why we recommend professional install for wet areas.

Yes. Profilms uses a hard top-coat that resists scratching from everyday use including keys, utensils and cleaning. For heavy-impact areas we can recommend our most durable grades.

Wipe with a soft cloth and mild household cleaner. The film tolerates standard commercial cleaning products including hospital-grade disinfectants, which is why it is widely used in healthcare and aged care facilities. Avoid abrasive scourers and harsh solvents like acetone.

One of the great advantages of film over full replacement: damaged sections can be removed and re-wrapped individually, often in a single visit. There is no need to replace a whole bench or cabinet run.

Profilms films are UV-stable and rated for interior use including sunlit rooms. For full exterior or constant direct-sun exposure we will recommend a specific grade designed for that environment.

Profilms refinishes rather than replaces. By wrapping existing joinery and cabinetry we keep tonnes of perfectly good material out of landfill every year. The film itself is low-VOC and the installation process produces almost no waste — no demolition rubble, no off-cuts of timber or stone, no paint runoff.
